Beavers Scouts is for boys aged 6 to 8 years and are the youngest section of the Scouting family (Squirrels are part of the NI Squirrels Association).
Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
We meet every Thursday evening in the MacDermott Hall from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
Wednesdays – 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement, originally started in 1916 for younger brothers who wanted a ‘look-in’. We cater for boys aged 8 to 11 years and we enjoy games, craft, outings and badge work all the while learning about the excitement of scouting!
Thursdays – 8:00pm to 9.30pm
Scouts are the third section of the Scouting movement open to those aged 11 to 15 years.
As a Scout you can learn survival skills, first aid, develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment.
There’s something for every young person. It’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world.
